“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭‬‬

If you’re new to my blog, or not completely acquainted with me and my work, then I’ll bring it to your attention that this is my first try at sharing what I write and am interested in with the public – just because it still felt very…mine. And then with the new year and this thought that seemingly goes round that it’s time to start on a fresh slate, I thought about finally doing something that would be interesting to people in their early twenties who’d be interested in stuff I like: Either way I am happy to have the chance to share my life with you!

Whatever happened, divine love brought you here – and I’m hoping that as you read this stash of sometimes very random, insane, awkward, funny, happy and sad account of events, that you’ll be inspired to share your stories with someone too. I love telling stories so this is how I do it best, but yours could come in another form.

My love for telling stories moved me to start Jars of Klay. It’s about knowing the treasure that lies within each of us, within the earthen vessels we are, and choosing to let that light shine and inspire those around us in ways that we may not even know that we do.

Today I don’t have a story to tell. I mean I do, but I’ll save those for later… For now, I’d just like to urge you to own your story, and tell it even when your voice shakes. Spread His love in every aspect of who you are, and let his light and love be some kind of energy that even your little jar can’t contain!!

Jars of Klay also happens to be a hub where I’ll post things I am interested in, so I hope through this journey you’ll find something you’re interested in, and maybe share what you’d like to see as well!! Yay!

This is an honest account of my own experiences and some may hurt more than others, but I feel that it’s worth it if my own plunge into the deep dark sea of vulnerability will move and change someone else. It’s about growing into a better person, about the struggles and the triumphs, and I’ll try to be as genuine as possible.

May you be inspired by my late night musings and realizations, and may they be stepping stones in your own journey.
